Warranty Period
Our optional manufacturer’s warranty is limited to 1 year for electrical and mechanical components from the date of purchase of the e-bike. It is limited to the first purchaser and subject to the prior registration of your HiPEAK e-bike on www.hipeakbike.com. The warranty starts once the first purchaser has received their order.
In order to be eligible for a warranty transfer, the transferee must have the original owner’s name, initial order number and the warranty period must not be expired.
Warranty Covers
Our warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover wear and tear or any type of abuse. If the product has been used in a way that it was not designed then the product can fail and this damage will not be covered. The warranty covers damage incurred during shipment.
1. Frame
HiPEAK E-bike frames are covered by a replacement warranty for 1 year.
This warranty includes a replacement frame only. Labor charges to changeover parts to replacement frames are not included. Changeover labor must be performed by an authorized mechanic.
HiPEAK reserves the right to use scratch and dent stock when replacing a frame under this warranty. Frame styles and/or colors not in stock may be replaced with a compatible style and/or color at the discretion of HiPEAK.
Frame issues that are excluded from this warranty include but are not limited to:
Corrosion
Paint fade, scratches, impact marks
Impact damage
Non-reversible modification (drilling/welding)
Chain guard mount to the frame if applicable
2. Batteries
HiPEAK batteries are covered by 1-year prorated warranty.
During 1 year of service we will replace the batteries free of charge if there is a manufacturing defect. The warranty period for a repaired or replaced battery remains unchanged based on the original purchase date.
After the first 1 year of service – A prorated credit, based on months of service, will be applied toward the purchase of a new battery. Batteries purchased at pro-rated cost will have a new 1-year warranty based on the pro-rated purchase date.
NOTE: No cash reimbursement will be made. We have the right to determine what damage is due to defective materials and what is due to product abuse or misuse.
3. Parts & Components
Original HiPEAK parts & components are covered by a 1-year limited warranty Warranty excludes the shipping cost of replacement parts.
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
Ordinary wear and tear not the result of defects in workmanship or materials. Wear and tear can be assessed by HiPEAK. Parts not typically covered include but are not limited to:
brakes, brake pads, cassette, chains, chain rings, controller, crankset, derailleur, forks, freewheel, handlebar, hardware seat post, kickstand lights, LCD display pedals, motor, reflectors, rims saddle, shifter, spokes, tires/tubes, throttle, wiring harness, wheel hub kickstand. Warranty within one week after receiving the goods. Parts damaged during use after seven days need to be charged.
Parts compromised due to corrosion due to the elements (moisture, heat, etc).
Damage or deterioration of the surface finish, appearance, or aesthetics of the product.
Labor charges for part replacement or changeover.
Defects or damage resulting from accident, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or other similar activities not consistent with the intended use of the Products), improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquid, chemicals, moisture, abrasives, sand or dirt, neglect, or abnormal physical, electrical or electromechanical stress.
Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage not caused by HiPEAK.
Product that has the serial number or the bar code removed, defaced, damaged, altered, or made illegible.
Defects or damage to the Products caused by the use of accessories, products, or ancillary/peripheral equipment not furnished or approved by HiPEAK with the Products.
Defects or damage caused by improper assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, or adjustment in a manner that varies from Assembly Instructions & Owners Manual.
Defects or damage resulting from external causes, such as collision, fire, flooding, windstorm, lightning, earthquake, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuse, or improper use of any electrical source.
4. WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
Damaged Plastic parts and wear and tear on brake pads, tyres, or damage to any part of the product due to abuse or misuse.
Labour that occurs outside of our facility.
Parts damaged by accidents, neglect, misuse, abuse.
Damage caused by a non-covered part or by any part not purchased from our facility.
Products that have NOT been regularly checked and serviced as highlighted in conditions.
FAULTS: Faults must be reported as soon as possible by email to support@hipeakbike.com. We will assess the issue and try to fix it without the need for you to send the product back to us to help save time. We will send out a replacement part, if possible, to be fitted by yourselves with guidance from us.
CONDITIONS: Upon receipt of your order, you must thoroughly check to ensure that there are no loose nuts or bolts that may have dropped out in shipment. This same check should be carried out prior to each ride of the product, to ensure long-term durability. We advise that you are ride your e-bike with adequate safety clothing ie; helmets etc. Products must be ridden in a responsible manner and must not be abused for the warranty to be valid. These are on-road vehicles and should be ridden with due care and attention for your own safety and that of the public.
DISCLAIMER STATEMENT: We will take no liability for losses that were not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was formed and for losses that were not caused by any breach on our part. We will take no liability for any use of a product that does not comply with current legislation relating to that product in your region or jurisdiction. By purchasing our products you have read and agreed to the terms and conditions set out Nothing in these terms will reduce your statutory rights relating to cancellation, faulty or misdescribed goods.
CLAIMS PROCESS
1. Warranty Claims
All claims made must be sent to support@hipeakbike.com. You will need to have proof of purchase, photos or videos of the defect for a warranty request. Prior to submitting your warranty claim, we strongly advise that you contact us at support@hipeakbike.com as we may be able to find an easy fix to your issue. Valid warranty claims will be processed through HiPEAK within 1 year of the first purchase.
HiPEAK will not replace any part without first seeing photos or videos of the damaged product. Please attach the necessary evidence by email.
2. Shipping damage claims
In a rare occasion, the product received may be damaged during shipping. If this applies to you, please contact support@hipeakbike.com along with your photographic evidence of the damage.
All gifts will not be included will not be compensated or replaced if damaged during shipping.
IMPORTANT: We will not accept shipping damage claims later than 7 days after receiving the order.
REPAIR SERVICE
For offline bicycle store repair services like Velotooler, HiPEAK will only provide free replacement parts. We do not compensate any labor charge incurred in the repair service.
